Recovery shaped around a person

Hawkspring’s one-to-one recovery programme works through twelve weekly sessions, with support tailored to a person’s circumstances and ways of learning. Practitioners help people explore coping strategies, set goals and make practical decisions. The work combines structure with room to respond to what someone is facing. S102

Support while the work continues

Groups bring people together to share experience alongside individual work. Waiting-list check-ins and practical crisis signposting also help people reach housing, food or other services. These connections recognise that recovery happens alongside the pressures of everyday life. S102

The people around the person

Someone else’s drug or alcohol use can affect a whole family. Hawkspring offers concerned-others support as well as work with the person using substances. Giving family members their own route into help recognises that their feelings, boundaries and wellbeing matter too. S103

Children with their own story to tell

Its children’s service works with young people affected by substance misuse at home. One-to-one sessions in schools, group support and holiday activities offer different ways to explore feelings and build understanding. The stated age range is 5 to 18, with much of the work focused on primary-school children. S104

Help that sees the wider picture

Recovery, family support and children’s work address connected experiences without treating them as the same need. That is the strength of Hawkspring’s approach: one person can work towards change while the people around them also have space to be heard and supported. Its free services have their own referral and availability arrangements. S102, S103, S104, S105
